  • Plate from Laborde's rare work on Asia Minor. The 79 plates comprise 165 views and panoramas, illustrating the travels of Laborde and his father Alexandre de Laborde around Asia Minor and Syria from 1826 to 1828. The work was issued in parts from 1838, mixed with the companion work Voyage de la Syrie.

The book is Laborde's rare work of his travels through Syria, the Holy Land and the Levant. The plate list is numbered to 89 but plate 77 is omitted, the 88 tinted lithographic plates comprising 194 views including many of the Holy Land after David Roberts. The parts for this work were issued together with the companion work Voyage de l'Asie Mineure under the general title Voyage en Orient from 1838, and according to the British Library, part 39 had been completed by 1845. Brunet, however, states that only 36 had been issued by 1861. The complications of the issue of the two works together meant that subscribers were presumably supposed to divide the parts into the relevant works, and subsequently, complete copies of both works are very rare.

Plates might have scattered light foxing, occasionally affecting images and small chips to edges.
